TBC rides are generally suitable for class 1 & 2 E-bikes that require pedaling. Here is the policy for E-Bikes on a TBC ride;
- Must meet Ontario’s technical requirements, including functional brakes and lights.
- Must not exceed 40 kg. (combined bike and battery)
- Must operate on a certified, non-modified motor and lithium-ion battery.
- We do not accept class 3 E-bikes (moped style, over 40kg) or scooters on any ride.
Please note that E-Bike regulations vary on municipality rules, transit operator (eg Go transit), and/or guest accommodation (in the case of trips). Please check event posting for exceptions.
